Gold Mining in Peru: Company Strategies, Everyday Violence, and the Politics of Attention

This ethnographic and comparative research links feminist, post-colonial, and critical race and ethnic studies frameworks to build theory about the meanings of violence in Peruvian gold mining conflicts, how it manifests in peoples lived experience, how it is constructed and enacted by different actors, and how it can be confronted or transformed.
