I loved this book! Julia Alvarez can weave a story magnificently. This is a fantastic book for young adults because it addresses so many issues that they are consumed with. The culminating lesson of this Tia Lola book is to look within. Many kids need help doing this and this book illustrates

multiple possibilities.
