This very good pamphlet is thoughtful and clear, the fruit of trial and experience. She understands prayer as our acting to develop relationship with the Divine Being. She has clarifying comments: prayer is the feeling in your core, beyond words, that quiets, chastises, uplifts, comforts, celebrates the One. Prayer is to descend with the mind into the heart, and stand there before the face of the Lord within you. Prayer is a mystery of the spiritual life, which is learned by doing.
There are many kinds of prayer: worship, gratitude, confession, listening and centering, contemplation, discernment, noticing, intercession... Her advice is to be authentic and keep at it.
