This pamphlet from 1979 argues closely that the Bible does not condemn homosexuals or homosexuality, citing all the specific relevant verses and specific reasons. Barnett is informed, clear, and reasonable, and this should be a useful resource on this subject. He also argues that since Jesus calls us to a life of love, Christianity should stop persecuting and rejecting Gay people, and instead accept them and support them in ending their persecution. We must acknowledge that, these decades later, while many Friends have changed their attitudes and practices significantly, there is still disagreement among some Friends worldwide on this matter.
