An interesting account of the spiritual pacifist radical activism of this extraordinary man. He called himself a Friend but was too creative, experimental, and passionate to be confined in any regular religious community. His challenge to Friends is as stirring and pertinent, and as inspiring today
He is the author of four Pendle Hill Pamphlets; I have read # 124, Saints for This Age, and #64, Of Holy Disobedience, which are both wonderful.
