The author explicates his sophisticated understanding of the genius of the unconscious, from his decades of experience and study as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. He explains the goals and capacities of the unconscious, source of passion and creativity, the consequences of repression and the connections of the unconscious to health. He characterizes the deep unconscious as our spiritual connection to the universe, and the channel of our Inner Light. Mystics are devoted to bringing this connection into conscious awareness. This pamphlet is very interesting and an excellent presentation of this approach to understanding creativity and spiritual connection.
