"It is a very rare person who can go far along the spiritual road in isolation," says Hodgkin in his 1971 address to Australia Yearly Meeting. He lays out the case for Quakerism in what may be the most cogent and thoughtful explanation in print of the unprogrammed Quaker meeting.
