This was one of my all time favourite children's books and it was a firm favourite of my children as well. It is the story of Theodore bear who loses an eye and gets tossed away. He embarks on a journey and along the way is joined by all sorts of other broken and damaged toys. Eventually, they make their way to a port where they are restored, patched and painted and sent on their way laden with beautifully bright coloured lollipops. They arrive in Tripiti where they all find good, loving homes and Theodore retreats to an attic tower to write about their adventures.… (more)
