This is an excellent resource book for "Introduction to Quakerism" courses at local Meetings. The format makes the material quite accessible and very readable. The Appendices cover New England Yearly Meeting's Advices & Queries, taken from their Faith and Practice, which is not all that different
Chase is a Christocentric Friend without, I think, shutting out other more non-Christ centered Friends. He does not address nontheistic Friends, and I sympathize with their omission: I have never figured out what it is one "worships" if one does not have a sense of the Holy.
