This book in 6" x 9" quality softcover format, contains not yet published and previously published work by 100 contributing poets who have been members of The Poetry Society of Michigan (PSM) during the previous 5 years. The PSM advocates interest in and appreciation of poetry for adults and children. It is a chartered, 501(c) (3) organization with constitution and by-laws which has operated continually since 1935. Contents include yet unpublished and previously published poems. The forthcoming edition, titled Water Music: The Great Lakes State Poetry Anthology,? contains over 140 poems and includes a section of biographical notes on each of the 100 contributing poets, as well as a section listing previous places of publication for many of the poems. The cover photograph is by Monte Nagler, well known in Michigan and around the world for his scenic photography. The title of this picture is ?Five Birds, Grand Haven, Michigan ?14.' Nearly all the poets represented live in Michigan now or did at one time. A few are from elsewhere including Wisconsin and Minnesota. Among the more recognizable names of contributors are Jennifer Clark, Jim Daniels, Joy Gaines-Friedler, Laurence Goldstein, Robert Haight, Edward Hoeppner, Elizabeth Kerlikowske, Margo Lagattuta, Thomas Lynch, Caroline Maun, Edward Morin, Christine Rhein, Jack Ridl, John Rybicki, Phillip Sterling, Laurence W.
