Description
The book deals specifically with the conquest of Canaan, the crossing of the Jordan, the story of the spies, the punishment of Achan for taking booty, the capture of the five Kings, the various campaigns in the land, the battle at Gibeon, the destruction of Hazor, the allotment of the land to the different tribes in the western area as well as to the Joseph tribes in the East, and the establishment of cities of refuge. Joshua's last words of farewell are for Israel to adhere to the Torah.
