Although I am not religious, this collection struck a chord in me. There are so many wonderful passages, poetic lines and prose-poetry, that it makes it hard not to like, and admire, the collection entirely. Gibran was obviously a very talented writer, and artist too (as we can see his art in this

collection) and together, with the right mind-frame, I was able to even enjoy The Prophet (which I had previously read in a different translation) to new heights. This is a collection for all those who admire good writing, as well as writing that tries to touch the innermost boundaries of the soul.

4.5 stars- definitely recommended!
