Omar's neurodiversity (?) -- maybe I misunderstood, because he seems like a regular, somewhat daydreamy kid, and his flights of imagination really help him navigate emotional challenges. Anyway, I love the soft humor, the endearing illustrations, and the way Omar's faith and family take the world on with kindness. From the nasty next-door neighbor to the school bully, things have a tendency to work out. That's a beautiful statement and it's a great story. I also admire the straightforward way that Omar explains Islam to his classmates -- I certainly learned a lot.
