What an amazing book! Not for use in school unfortunately. Brings home the idea of How God wants us to act and how to do that. Beautifully written, soft language and very charasmatic illustrations.

Amazingly written book about the reasons and ways to merge cultures. Excellent for young children to expose them to the world we live in and the beauty that can be gained from learning and sharing with other peoples, some of who may already be our neighbors. Great artwork too!

The Nobel Peace Prize winning arch-bishop Desmond Tutu writes an inspiring book about loving one another no matter what we look like, where we come from and what religion we practice. This would be a great book to read to smaller children to teach the lesson of loving your neighbor. The

illustrations depict children of all races and religions joining together to play happily.

This book tells all about God's dream and how he wants us to live. He wants us all to get along and treat one another fairly.

This is a beautiful book about the vision God has for His children. It speaks directly to children about how God wants them to treat one another. It talks about friendship, love, equality, diversity, and forgiveness. Many cultures are represented in this book and it really speaks the truth of God's

heart.

Genre Critique: It's hard to classify this book by genre but I would choose informational because it explains a concept. In essence, this is a religious book. I really liked how the text flowed and the illustrations enhanced the text's meaning.

This is a book that teaches children about happiness, forgiveness, and love. It shows them how to enjoy sharing, caring, and laughing. Most of all it informs children that we are all God's children. We are all equal. All the good thing we do and share with people will make God smile.

This book was fine for the most part, but I did not enjoy it much because of the illustrations and some of the words.

A cute book with illustrations that shares how God views children and what He wants them to be like.

Great story about how God is watching and wants us to be kind to one another. A definite read if your school allows religious freedom.

This book is in letter form, asking the child what they dream of and telling the child what God's dream for us is. Written in the context of bringing equality, respect for diversity, and religious tolerance through loving one another. This is an example of realistic fiction because it brings up

problems that readers could face in real life, such as injustice and intolerance, and shows what the answer is, and the characters could be real. Lovely illustrations and lovely message, although I don't know how well accepted it would be in a public school, and it's got a brilliant truth to it. I would read it to kids to bring up discussion about tolerance and respect of diversity.

With warmth and humor, Archbishop Desmond Tutu distills his philosophy of unity and forgiveness into a picture book for the very young.Archbishop Desmond Tutu has a vision of God's dream, which he shares here with the youngest of listeners. It involves people who reach out and hold each other's

hands, but sometimes get angry and hurt each other — and say they're sorry and forgive. It's a wish that everyone will see they are brothers and sisters, no matter their way of speaking to God, no matter the size of their nose or the shade of their skin. Aided by vibrant artwork evoking such images as a rainbow and a sharing circle, Tutu offers the essence of his ubuntu philosophy, a wisdom so clear and crystalline that even the smallest child can understand.

Simple, yet profound, prose to illustrate a message of peace and love to young children. Illustrations are gorgeous, realistically portraying children all over the world feeling all kinds of emotions. A wonderful book to help children understand and identify emotions with an overarching message of

peace and acceptance of diversity, while recognizing that we are all God's children.
