A story that teaches children to be careful of all living things on the Earth, even the ones that might scare them. This would be a great book to have in your classroom to teach students to appreciate all living creatures.

A book with a tremendous ecological focus, this is a simple plea by the author for people to mindful of the natural world that surrounds them, to learn to appreciate without damaging it, and it works. Good for a read aloud length and excellent if you need something to read around Earth Day.

The story introduces in a very simple way insects, birds and animals in their natural habitats, and encourages children to be watchful stewards of them.
