Description

"From the New York Times bestselling author of I Dissent comes a biographical graphic novel about celebrated Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a modern feminist icon-a leader in the fight for equal treatment of girls and women in society and the workplace. She blazed trails to the peaks of the male-centric worlds of education and law, where women had rarely risen before. An accessible graphic novel biography of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, from her childhood to the legal battles for gender equality that eventually led to her being appointed a Supreme Court justice. A couple of spots where speech balloon order was off, making me read the conversation flow incorrectly.

Wow! This was a fabulous book! I found it informative and deeply moving to learn how Ruth Bader GInsberg earned her way to becoming a Supreme Court justice. Not only that, but I learned more about her huge contribution to the area of gender equality under the Fourteenth Amendment of the United

This book is a graphic novel which is presented as a biography of RBG from her birth until she became Supreme Court justice. Follwing that is a six-page narrative of the years afterward. This book is good both for older children and adults. More difficult terms are clearly explained with footnotes. Oddly enough, I myself finally learned the difference between a district court and a circuit court from reading this book.

I have a great appreciation for this marvelous woman who came from a rather modest background, but who has achieved so much and continues to work hard in her choses career.
