general. Readers who are familiar with Bible stories will find this collection of stories interesting, recognizing what comes from the Bible and what comes from oral tradition or folklore. Each story is fascinating in its own right, whether one is familiar with the Bible or not, and the stories often teach a moral or great truth. There is much symbolism in the stories, which the author explains in the sidebars. The stories are illustrated with watercolor in soft, serene tones. Show Less
