A companion volume to Smith's "Band Music Notes" this work is dedicated specifically to the march form. In general, the biographies are more complete, thanks in large part to the research of Bob Hoe, and the discussion of individual marches is also more in depth than the listings in the companion

volume. For wind band conductors and fans of marches this book is a prime resource.
