1962 - yellow series
1969 - blue series
1974 - red series
1978 - green series
Each color scheme volume was equipped with 19-23 swatches of various sizes. A total of 2,340 yards of fabric was woven 40-56" wide - cut into 162,000 samples. These books have long since sold and have become sought after collector items.
Hence, to meet the demand this book was created. 60 patterns, 15 each of the four swatch books, each pattern illustrated with a color plate.
Each page contains the color photo of the finished fabric swatch, the draft, warp and weft used and the warp color order. This is not a project book - but rather a book that shows the swatches used for specific projects that the author produced over time (curtains, clothing, upholstery, etc).
The photos of the swatches are both beautiful and inspiring.

Actual fabric samples mounted so both sides can be examined, with yarn and thread, threading, tieup, and treadling information for each. The book is a treasure for the avant-garde weaving Malin Selander was creating in the early 60s, with most designs standing the test of time.
