Description

Sarah Burnett's knitwear designs are a blend of pattern and colour. Her cardigans, jackets and pullovers for adults and children incorporate colour combinations, traditional motifs and bold asymmetric paisley patterns and harlequin checks, even fireworks and lonic columns. The entire collection is united by the soft and vibrant colours of her naturally dyed yarns and the book demonstrates that creating these environmentally friendly yarns is easy. Simple dyeing recipes and knitting patterns and charts aim to ensure that every handknit will be a success.

While the patterns in this show a distinct 80's flavour, there are a few kids knits that wuold still be considered wearable.
However this book shows it's value in the concise and clear instructions on how to dye wool using natural dyes. It's some of the clearest instructions I've seen. The author

still dyes and sells her wares online and in a few select shops. The patterns and colour mixes have been changed a lot since this book was written.
