Summary:
The book Last One Home is a Green Pig is about a monkey and a duck trying to race home. The monkey and the duck would take different rides from different objects, like for example a plane, a truck, a horse and a bike. At the end of the story the monkey is the winner. The monkey and the duck

are still friends and do not let the race become between their friendship.

Personal Reaction:
I personally think this is a good book, because it will be a good book for children to get involved in as you read it. This book also shows children that after a race win or lose two people will remain friends. I can relate to this book because I use to race my friends all the time. I would win sometimes but my friends and I would still be friends.

Classroom Extensions:
1. I have my students run a race and tell them that everyone is a winner and they will get all a price.
2. It would be a good book on when we have a lesson on friendship.
