The more I read this book to my son, the more I like it. It really is a peaceful "goodnight" book.

The story, "Ten, Nine, Eight" can be used in a classroom for many reasons. First off I would read this story to kindergarten children. The book is about a little girls bed time routine. One very good thing about this book is it uses african american people. This would be a wonderful time for an

open discussion about different races. Another wonderful aspect of the book is that is counts backwards from ten to one. This would help small children not only learn their numbers but that the numbers can go front to back or back to front. The story, "Ten, Nine, Eight" also teaches children a bed time routine. Not all children may have this and it is good for them to learn it from someone.

Short, simple counting down book into bedtime.

This counting book is probably not the best counting book I have seen out there. I think there is too much things going on in the picture that it is hard for young counters and readers to spot and count the item.

Bright, engaging illustrations make this book a fun read! The basic concept is count down to bedtime, so the way in which it is demonstrated is very cute. It reminds me alot of "Goodnight Moon". The fun bedtime routine is seen as warm and loving, creating a sense that the child is happy and

Beautiful oil paintings take you through the countdown of getting ready for bed. A positive depiction of a father daughter relationship. In a nice small square shape, perfect for smaller hands.

A short book to use for Kindergarten and First graders to teach them their numbers 1-10. It tells a story about getting ready for bed and uses the pictures to illustrate the numbers. For for children to point out the objects and count them.

This book is a bedtime story. It starts with ten toes that are washed and warm then continues on about things in a room before bed, like 9 stuffed animals, things you may see before you go to bed, like 8 window panes, and even something you may wear to bed like 5 round buttons on a yellow gown.

This book begins with 10 somethings and goes all the way down to 1 thing, (1 big girl all ready for bed). This book could be something that parents could read to their children before going to bed because that is what the father in this book is doing, he is getting his daughter ready for bed and reading her a book. This book shows what a child and their parent may do before bedtime.

This is a great book for learning counters. It is a story of a little girl getting ready for bed and it shows the different number of things she sees while going to bed. This is such a great book because not only are the numbers bigger than the words and in color, they always have pictures of what

she is counting. An example, she is counting her ten toes, and it shows her feet. Also, the things she is counting is something that all children could relate too as well. LearningPlanet.com is a website that teachers could also use to help children learn to count. It has many activities on different grades levels.

"Ten, Nine, Eight" is a good book for children who are learning not only their numbers, but also rhyming words. As the little girl gets ready for bed, her father prepares a countdown before she falls asleep. Starting with "10 small toes all washed and warm" to "1 big girl all ready for bed" and

ending at 0 with the little girl fast asleep.

Ten, Nine, Eight is a book about a young girl and her father counting down until her bedtime. I thought this was a neat bedtime book because it counts backwards instead of upwards. I also loved this book because it showed the affection between a father and his daughter, which is not often done in

books. I would recommend this book to help children learn their numbers.

This story is basically about a father and daughter counting down to bedtime. I think it is a cute story because this is a ritual that many children probably have with their parents before bed, or at least something similar, so I think children would enjoy it. It would alo be good for younger

children who are learning to count.

Ten, Nine, Eight is a sweet little book that counts backwards from ten to one. It starts with “10 toes all washed and warm”, and ends with “1 big girl all ready for bed”. This is great book for kids in that it gives them a bedtime routine with a checklist, and has them counting, but also

being responsible for getting ready to sleep. Bang’s softly edged illustrations add to the calm, sleepy eyed feeling the book is meant to encourage. Personally, I did not find the illustrations that esthetically pleasing, but I see their merit in helping achieve the desired goal.

This is a great illustrated picture book about counting. Each number coincides with a picture that also represents the number.

Great early counting book. A very simple concept book that appeals to babies. It goes through numbers one through ten in decreasing order counting down things that are familiar in a child's room. It's a great book to read before bed and is a sort of count down to bedtime for kids. The images are

colorful and interesting.
