A beautifully illustrated and written book about a giraffe who became famous throughout the world but mostly in Europe because it was a gift to the King of France. It is fun to see a story about an animal that isn't the normal creative view where it wouldn't be possible in real life. This one tells

of the first Zoo in France and how this giraffe traveled everywhere and eventually made it to her home at the Zoo. I liked having it be educational while entertaining at the same time.
