This repetitious text about all the river traffic was fairly well done. I have to admit that it got a little monotonous after a while, but it would probably work well as a bedtime read for a child with an interest in boats. It does have a soothing rhythm.

This was fun to read because I have a 2 y/o foster child fascinated
by boats. The story itself, simply tells about the different types of boats on the water, from a sailboat to a warship. I found the story somewhat boring but my 2 y/o found the pictures extremely enjoyable.

The books itself doesn't
Show More
much in the way of story telling, but allows the story to be better told through its pictures.

I could see this as a benefit in lessons about the ocean or sea travel.

Summery:
It about all types of boats and what there job is. It talks about the boats on rivers and oceans. What they do and all.

Personal Reaction:
Its a good book about boats. Because it talks about there job and what kind there are. Which is good for kids to read and see that there are a kind of

boats and just one.

Extension ideas.
1. Ask kids which kind of boat the like the best.
2. Ask if they been on a boat and what they did when they were on it.
