This issue was also ommited from the UK series for some reason. It could have something to do with licencing, printing budget, or error? We may never find out for sure fourty years on.

through some form of partworks via adds. in the Sunday magazines as was the fashion back then. If so, them it is likely that the cost of the total set had to be reduced in order to keep the total cost within a certain limit in order to appeal more to the reader. The British economy was not the same as that in the US, and neither were printing costs. For this reason although the filmsetting of the British reproduction was done in the UK, the printing and binding of the book were shipped out to a company in Holland.
