Robert has a little friend that comes to stay with him and his mother and father. The friends name is Stevie. Robert did not like Stevie very much because Stevie would always break his toys, get his way, leave muddy foot prints on his bed, and he always had to Stevie along with him. Robert’s

friends would laugh at him and say, “Ha, ha. Bobby the baby-sitter.” Robert was not happy that Stevie came to live with them. Every Saturday, Stevie’s parents would come pick him up and then bring him back to Robert’s house on Sunday. One Saturday, Stevie’s parents came to pick him up, but this time it was different. Stevie’s parents said that they were moving and he wasn’t going to come back anymore. Robert got up the next morning and made two bowls of cereal, one for him and one for Stevie. That’s when Robert realized, Stevie is not coming back and it is back to it being just him. Robert is sad remembering all the fun and good times he had with Stevie. Stevie was like a little brother to Robert. John Steptoe, an amazing painter, uses his own pictures for this book. This was Steptoe’s first book and the illustrations he painted and used were amazing.
