Dave loves his toy dog, Dogger, and does all the usual stuffed animal things with him. One day, just before the fair, he loses Dogger. He's very upset, but sees Dogger in a booth. When he goes to buy Dogger, it's too late, Dogger is bought by a little girl. His sister, Bella, however makes a very

The story of a boy who loses his beloved stuffed dog, then finds him in the arms of another child who bought him at the school carnival. Big sister, Bella, comes to the rescue and trades her prize bear to get Dogger back. This is a wonderful story for starting a conversation with students about

Dogger is the sweet story of a little boy who loses his favorite stuffed animal, Dogger. Not wanting her little brother to feel so sad, the boy's sister works really hard to find Dogger for him. She even trades on of her own stuffed animals in order to get him back. I thought this story was really

sweet and highlights the love that siblings have for each other. It is also a story that kids can easily relate to, as everyone has a favorite stuffed animal.

So he looks for his parents, but finds Bella, but when they get back a little girl has bought Dogger and won’t give her back. Dave starts to cry and so does the girl, but the girl sees Bella’s teddy bear and begins to stroke his bow. Bella asks her if she will trade, and Dave gets Dogger back.

Person Reaction: This book is really cute. Children will be able to relate because most of them have had a favorite toy.

When Dave loses his favorite toy, Dogger, he is very sad. But when Dogger turns up for sale at the neighborhood fair, everything seems all rightuntil someone else buys him before Dave can get the money! This timeless classic uses simple words and detailed pictures to show the distress the loss of a

I liked this book because it is a cute story about siblings and a very realistic relatable story for children. The language is easy to understand and weaves together a beautiful tale. The writing is well paced and flows from one page to another with entirely realistic and believable characters. The
Show More
story follows a little boy and his toy that goes missing. The next day at the fair they find the toy being sold but don’t have enough to buy it. When a little girl buys the toy, the sister trades the toy she won for her brother’s toy. This suspense and conflict are perfectly written for children to understand and relate to. It also shows that making someone you love happy is a wonderful thing to do. This is a heartwarming story about self-sacrifice and sibling love.
