Description

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer has researched intention as a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place. This beautiful gift edition of Wayne's international bestseller explores intention-not as something we do-but as an energy we're a part of. We're all intended here through the invisible power of intention-a magnificent field of energy we can access to begin co-creating our lives!Part I deals with the principles of intention, offering true stories and examples showing how to make the connection. Wayne identifies the attributes of the all-creating universal mind of intention as kind, loving, beautiful, expanding, endlessly abundant, and receptive, emphasizing the importance of emulating this source of creativity. In Part II, he offers an intention guide with specific ways to apply the co-creating principles in daily life. Part III is an exhilarating description of Wayne's vision of an individual connected at all times to the universal mind of intention. I've been a big fan of Dr. Dyer for a long time. His description of the field of intention and how we benefit from aligning ourselves with it includes religious traditions. I thought the tips at the end of each chapter were very useful. I just wish there had been a bibliography. I found myself

I am almost ashamed to admit it, but Wayne Dyer's "The Power of Intention" which led me to his "Inspiration" really resonates with me, but, really, despite his rep as the Father of the Self-Help Movement, he's certainly much deeper than Dr. Phil, not saying much, I know, but if you let him lead you

to his sources such as Castaneda (a surprise) and Kazantzakis (he referred to the novel "St. Francis" which led me to rewatch "Last Temptation of Christ" and then to finally read that novel too). Kazantzakis is really mystical and spiritual. Old, old soul, gone from here now for awhile. I also was inspired to check out Taylor Caldwell's "Great Lion of God"--about Paul, yes that tight ass who also wrote oh so movingly about love. Dyer also affirms my current devotion to meditation. Letting go and letting your God is the Way! So much to read, so little time.

Listened to this as an audio book. Was read by Wayne Dyer himself. I didn't like the beginning as it seems like a lot of "mumbo jumbo." However, as I went on it became more clear. The bottom liner is that a lot of this material is a rehash of other material. Do good, listen to the calling of a

higher spirit, give so you will receive and much more. Typical motivational book that Dyer recycles over and over. He makes a good living as people keep buying.

From the dust jacket, "Wayne W. Dyer, Ph.D. is an internationally renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development. He's the author of more than twenty books. Intention is viewed very differently in this book. Dr. Wayne W. Dyer has researched intention as a force in the universe that

allows the act of creation to take place. This book explores intention--not as something you do--but as an energy you're a part of. We're all intended here through the invisible power of intention. This is the first book to look at intention as a field of energy you can access to begin co-creating your life!"

This really helped remind me how I have been behaving around a certain person and that I need to be more high energy than low energy. I really found this book very interesting.

Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change. You were intended out of love; you must be love in order to intend. The new way of seeing will enable people in your presence to feel comforted and peaceful, and to indirectly be loving accomplices to your connection to intention.

The Secrets of the Power of Intention is one of those books I have returned to again and again, and each time it just keeps getting better. This audiobook version, read by Dr. Dyer himself, is a treasure trove of good advice, funny and touching stories, and easy to implement practices designed to

achieve a happy, healthier you and me. As someone who has followed his teachings post-accident as I navigated the after effects of a traumatic brain injury, I was pleasantly surprised at how effective his methods can be applied for alleviating anxiety and mild depression. As Dr. Dyer discusses the importance of intention and the law of attraction in creating the life you want to live, one can’t help but feel empowered and encouraged by his suggestions that are backed up with quotations from and references to many spiritual paths as well as his personal stories. The Power of Intention is one of my favorite all-time books that I have recommended many times. I’ve also quoted from it in my classes. I never get tired of listening to Dr. Dyer speak truths and tell stories, and revisiting this book always feels a bit like coming home again. 5 stars
