Find Books Online
GTSD Ebooks are available 24/7/365 to students and staff:
Mackin Via: Small but growing collection of ebooks and audiobooks. You can also download ebooks and audiobooks on your personal device using the free MackinVIA app; for this you will need your GTSD login and a password. Please contact Mrs. Bond for assistance.
ProjectGutenberg: Find classic literature in multiple ebook formats (text, EPUB, Kindle). You will also find ebooks in Explora Middle Schools (great for research projects!). These books will not appear in in our library catalog or Mackin Via.

  3. Enter the password: stinger.
  4. Find your name.
  5. Click the blue CONFIRM REQUEST button.
  6. You will receive an email confirmation of your request.
  7. The library system will send an automated email when the book has been checked out to you.
  8. You can pick up your book(s) from the red holds shelf anytime between 8:00 and 10:05 each day.

Print Resources
Students may borrow up to 4 books for a duration of 4 weeks. Only students with accounts in good standing may check out books. Students may not check out materials if they have any overdue, lost, or damaged materials connected to their account.

Digital Resources
GTSD students and staff may utilize any of the digital resources linked on this site for personal and academic interests. Whenever possible, logins and passwords are embedded to facilitate access. These logins may not be shared with or used by non-GTSD users.

Overdues
Due date reminders and overdue email notices are automatically generated by the library management system. To renew a book, please email Ms. Bond. The GTSD Media Centers do not charge late fines.

After four weeks have passed since the book was due, the book is officially considered lost. At that point, your family must choose to either return the missing item or pay the replacement cost. It is our hope that no one ever has to pay for a lost book -- our ultimate goal is always to have the original book returned.

Money paid for lost or damaged items cannot be refunded. If the missing item is located after payment, it becomes the property of your family.

Damages
If borrowed material is lost or damaged the family will receive an invoice for the replacement cost.

Despite best intentions, occasionally a library book is accidentally damaged. Send the damaged item back to school with a note explaining what happened. The library staff will review the damage and see if the book can be repaired. If not, your family will need to pay the replacement cost. Each damaged book will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
