Wonderful storyline of a young girl who deals with being separated from her father due to war. A great book for children who have family members serving in the military and other children who are experiencing many transitions.

This is my summary of a book on Love You, Soldier.
The book begins with a young Jewish girl named Katie. The story first begins in New York. Katie's dad who is sent to fight in World War 2. Katie and her mother work hard with her father away. Katie then makes friends with her neighbor downstairs
Katie is in the library one day when a really large storm came. Katie came home and Louise told her she was in labor. Katie took her too the hospital and the baby Rosie was born. Later another event happened a telegram came saying that Katie's father had died. Katie and her mother were devastated but still managed to move on.
This book was good and I would urge others to read this book too.
