I'm not sure where I saw this book, perhaps on the Amazon or Kindle web site, but I was drawn to it immediately - attracted even by the cover - feeling the need for rest from the overheated political environment, and my life, which while not heavily scheduled, still seems to be almost uncomfortably

full. I found Rest Assured (great title!) to be quite helpful, addressing concerns that shadow my life right now, calling us (and giving some suggestions on how) to put God first in our lives - seek first His kingdom, come into His presence. The book discusses the enemies of peace and rest - busyness, pursuit of other stuff, social media addiction, and worry/anxiety, and then ways to recover - prioritizing time with God, time for solitude, time for leisure/rest, time for others. I'm glad I found and read this book, and think I will be referring to it often in the future. Highly recommend it.
