Ok I'll quit hating on the book now but before I do I want to know why she can't write a book about the girl being strong in her christian ways and the guy being a struggling christian. Why is the girl always the one who can't find her way in life and the guy sitting back and instead of helping her he says something like I'd love to marry you but you need to find god first. Why can't I for once read a book where its the other way around. Authors there are girls who have there lives figured out have wonderful jobs and pray to god every night that they will one day find a good man so why can't this be the heroine of the books you write???????
Ok Ok now I actually didn't hate this book although you might think so It just needed a little more action and maybe a smarter Heroine : )
Volcanologist Annie Tagama is trying to hold her family together after loosing her mother and then her brother in very sudden and horrible deaths. Then her sister goes missing. Annie will have to seek the help of Mano Oana, who she blames for her brother's death. Mano can't get past the quilt of not saving Tomi, his best friend, when they were fleeing Iran on a mission gone bad. But a phone call Mano receives will change everything and lead to trying to solve a mystery that affects many people. Mano will begin to see Annie in a whole new way and want to be more than just a friend to her. This was quite a mystery and had me trying to figure out what was going on throughout the story. But the author did a good job of tying up the loose ends throughout this story. Now I am on to book 3 in this series, 'Dangerous Depths'!
