A mother is tucking in her small child, but he has a question! This creative young boy wants to know if Mama will still love him if her were a scary ape, a terrible dinosaur, a green alien or a stinky skunk. Mama, of course, will love her little one no matter what he is and so she tells him until
Show More
he is satisfied enough to finally say “I love you, Mama.”

What a wonderful and addictive book. I had gotten this book years ago, I have read it to the kids so many times, I think we all know it by heart but the pictures and the words are so fun and so loving that it really does get read and read again. I love the pictures by Cyd Moore, they really portray the boys descriptions of his mythical self. I asked the kids for the best part, they said ‘all of it’ and then, ‘I didn’t like the dinosaur’. I love that the kids know that Mama loves the boy no matter what, just like most mothers (including me of course).

Book about a child asking his mother if she will still love him if he is all these different things. She tells him that of course she will always love him and always take care of him because he is her little boy.

This book is about a child who is asking his mother how much she loves him. He goes through many characters and each time asks his mother if she will still love him. Each time his mother replies with an answer that explains that she will always love him no matter what. I thought this was a very

cute, fun book. My children love all of the characters that the child pretends to be, and I love that I can show them that a mother's love never changes. One could use this book in class to teach about family love and family values.

Wonderful story of a Mother putting her child to bed and the child asks the mother things like "Will you still love me if I am a slimy swamp monster." The mother then reassures the child. Great illustrations.

Summary: This book is about a kid that is asking the mom if she would love him if he were stinky, cyclopes, slim monster, etc. She says to all of the kids funny things that she would still love him and make life easier for him like in the slimmy monster build the house next to the swamp so he would

be close to mommy.

Personal: my reaction to this book was wow! this is why the kids all love it because it shows that our moms will love us no matter how we are or how we turn out to be. That our mom is always there for us even when we are stinky or have just one eye ball.

As Mama tucks her child into bed, he asks her if she would still love him if he was a big scary ape. Mama tells her child that if he was an ape, she would comb out all of his tangles, make his birthday cake out of banannas, and she would still love him. The boy asks Mama if she would still love

hiim if he were many different smelly, scary, and feroscious things. Mama tells her she would still love him, and that she would do anything he needed no matter what he was. This book is a great way to let a child know just how much you love them, and that your love and affection are unconditional.

I Love You Stinky Face, by Lisa McCourt, is a story about a young boy's wild imagination as he takes his mother through different scenarios of what he could have been, asking her "would you still love me then?" Stinky Face is such great read as the boy describes each tale with detail hitting many
Show More
of the readers senses, this combined with the intricate, colorful illustrations, makes the story exciting. McCourt sets the story in the child's room just before bedtime as his mother is reading him nighttime story. She tells him she loves when he goes into his tale of what if he were a big scarey ape? Would she still love him then? This makes for a great bedtime story, but could also add interest to a classroom library as children will find the story silly and fun to read. The mother's undeniable love for her son no matter how scary or stinky he is, leaves the reader with a warm feeling inside.

This book describes an instance between mother and son where the son asks his mother how much she loves him. This book is a great story about love and being kind to people of all types and I would use this in my classroom to support friendship. This book is suitable for the ages of 1-2.

This is a silly and sweet take on books in which children demand reassurance of a parent's love. Through lovely illustrations and a gentle color palate, we see a young boy and his mother getting ready for bedtime. He presents various scenarios in which she might not love him: if he were a "super

smelly skunk" or a dinosaur or any other number of scary creatures. She insists that she will always love him, "stinky face" and all. Although this story exists solidly in the "I will always love you" genre of children's books, the illustrations and subject matter (e.g. stinky skunks, vicious dinosaurs) give it a bit of an edge to similar books that consist solely of soft cuddly animals.

This book was one of my favorites to read at bedtime as a child and remains one of my favorites til this very day. I love how the author has the conversation lead by the daughter. Additionally, the illustrations on each page are just as entertaining as the context of the book. They go along
Show More
perfectly with what the mother and daughter are talking about throughout the entire story. Each and every horrifying, and stinky creature the daughter asks her mother if she would still lover her, is replied to in the most brilliant of ways by the mother. My personal favorite was when the mother replies to her asking if she would still love her if she was a green alien by saying, " And I would pack a note with all the bugs that said, I love you little greenie, bon appetit." In conclusion this is a book I will read to my future students, as well as my future children.

This is a very cute bedtime story about how much parents love their children. Though I am not entirely sure that it can be truly incorporated into the classroom, it seems to be more of an at home book. However, I think it could be modified to help middle elementary aged students write to their
Show More
parents about how much they love them in a fun new way. For example, "I would love you even if you we a giant purple elephant who ate all the food!" A fun activity could be worked out of this book pretty easily. I do think that a read aloud of this book would be really enjoyed by early elementary students as well.

Even though I get tired of the repetitive silliness the kidlets keep begging me to read this book again and again and again, so the author must be doing SOMETHING right!

While being tucked into bed, a young boy asks his mother if she would still love him if he turned into a variety of unpleasant creatures, including a vicious dinasour and a swamp monster. She responds with examples of how their interactions would change (flossing dinosour teeth and building a house

A little boy has a slew of outlandish questions, for his mother. All of which result in mommy loving him anyways, stinky face and all.

It was the first children's book I received when I was pregnant with my daughter and she absolutely loves it (now so does my son too).

Cute book to read to kids about love and how parents love their children no matter what. I could see recommending this book at our Family Reading Nights for parents to read to their children and talk about the lesson in the book.

This adorable book about unconditional love would be read well around valentines day. It is a little child asking his mother different scenarios about what she would do if he changed into all of these difficult personas. Every time she says that she would still love him. This would be great for

first and second graders.

This is a great book about a boy wondering if his mom would still love him if he were stinky like a skunk, or a swamp monster or a dinosaur. I enjoyed this bedtime story as there was no fighting over going to bed (something my own son never did and I appreciated that so we stuck to books without
Show More
that theme). The unconditional love of a parent is something that children should know we always have within us.
