In largely two-word sentences, the main characters make a pizza. They do all the necessary things, even spend some time together. Each sentence rhymes.

This book is written with several eight-word couplets, one or two for every two page spread.

The language is very simple, easy to sound out, and the story is a simple, short one as well.

Perfect for the "early reader" genre.

Pizza party is about teamwork of children and their teacher working to make a pizza for a fun day of cooking in class. Understanding the mess and clean up involved in cooking. All work together to help with transitions. I chose this book because it allows children the ability to get their hands

dirty experiencing by making food and the idea of social interaction with different groups of children. This book is good for cooking theme, pizza theme and a possible multicultural. Pizza Party is great for starting out Pre-K students on word recognition but could be used up to 1st grade.
