I only gave this book three stars due to some grammatical errors that the editor should have paid attention to before publishing this book. Other than that, I know that my students will thoroughly enjoy this book. I plan on reading excerpts from certain chapters as I lead my third grade library

students through their unit on Westward Expansion and their individual research projects on pioneer life. This book is perfect for introducing kids to frontier and pioneer life, and Laura Ingalls Wilder is a person that I believe both boys and girls will easily relate to and make connections with.
