This books starts with different objects that Ninos Kids will use to make a fiesta and a piñata.... it is bilingual and it goes into progretion stars with uno and end in diez.
The kids love the pitures and the love to count in spanish while we are reading the book.

The book is not too intriguing, but I feel the main goal is established well in teaching another language. The art is soft and simple with some action in throughout that would engage a young reader.

The illustrations encourage curiosity as the three children explore the market stalls, choosing exactly what they need, counting higher with each new addition to the basket. Bright and attractive, the vivid colors emphasize the happy faces of the children.

Very short book with only a few words but very informational. All the words are written in both Spanish and English! The illustration is great and helps you understand the story.

I used this book in another class as part of a listening/speaking activity geared towards the English language learners in the classroom. We paired it with a class discussion of what you would bring to your own party, fiesta, etc. Also used the book culturally to touch on the different ways of

celebration.

Fiesta! shows us words in both English and Spanish with the repetitive "What else" for a child to engage in the story with. The books incorporates counting in both languages, while walking us through the preparation of a party! This is a great book for those young 4 year olds.
