Add this title to the spunky heroine list. The book has loads of energy as the protagonist has everyone on board, dancing in the streets. I had my concerns about stereotype with the title alone, but this is a delightful book.

This story is told in the first person, and the storyteller (a young girl) finds rhythm everywhere she goes. She smells, thinks, sees, hears, and tastes the music all around her, and dances to the music with her whole body everywhere around her. Such a perfect book to introduce a music lesson!

This book was such a fun read! It depicts a little girl who hears rhythm all throughout the day. Wherever she goes and whatever she does, she finds the rhythm in it. I loved the style this book was written in. When she says what she sees or does, it also has the sounds that the object makes. What

would make this book so much fun in the classroom is that the teacher can have the students sing the sounds she hears! Such an enjoyable book! Show Less
