Another good court case to be solved in this series, which as always, keeps you guessing and trying to figure out the truth, right along with Kit Shannon Fox, the lady lawyer in the early 1900's, when there weren't a lot of woman lawyers. Kit is now married and returning from her honeymoon on board

a ship, when one of the passengers seeks her out and asks for help when her husband is found dead on the ship. Kit must try and figure out who did this and at the same time keep from doubting her client's innocence. She must also struggle with balancing her new married life with her job and also a surprise "illness".

You can almost tell these books were written by a former lawyer as you can feel like you are in the courtroom and the battle to find the truth always keeps my interest and is hard to put down until the truth is finally discovered. Not only was this entertaining, but I felt like I got to know history a little bit and meet some famous folks throughout this series. Well done!
