originally on the case want to find out the truth. And someone wants her dead.

This is a fast paced story that is full of action and suspense with a touch of romance blended in. This story put a whole new spin on doing what ever you can for family. But it also shines a light onto how some peoples thought process can be so messed up. I totally enjoyed reading this story. It grabbed my attention right from the start and kept it to the very end. This suspense is so good, it is hard to put this book down.

I received a complimentary copy of this story from Tyndale Publishing and NetGalley. This is my honest review.

One of the best novels of DiAnn Mills’ career is awaiting readers! I have read and enjoyed this author’s books for a long while, and this one arrested my attention from the first moment I started reading. The story is filled with suspense and palpable climactic moments that made taking a

reading break hard. However, the chapters are short so picking the book up and continuing the journey was very easy!
The main female character is Shelby Pearce who goes to prison for a crime some aren’t sure she committed. When she is released, she picks a town away from family and friends to start new. However, those who remember the past don’t want her to remain in their town. Some want her dead. The key to finding out who wants her gone may be unveiled by an undercover FBI agent who has known Shelby from the beginning.
Here is a great story that captured the attention and heart of this reader. The story I thought was unique, and the cast of characters very colorful and held a surprise I didn’t see coming! There is a strong thread of faith in the tale that was real and captivating.
I think Amy-Jo’s character is a hoot, and if she were real, I would love to meet her. Amy-Jo’s no-nonsense approach to life and her attitude is refreshing! Edie is another character that is full of compassion and faces personal challenges with courage. The plot is multilayers of mystery, intrigue, enigmatic players that come and go in the story.
Denton is the lead male character who followed Shelby from her arrest through her trail with many questions. He formed an opinion and when Shelby came out of prison, he was going to find out the truth. What he found will touch the heart of audiences!
Enjoy the newest and brilliant novel from the pen of DiAnn Mills; you won’t regret it!
