This reference work on sports building design from the Sports Council's Technical Unit, this edition brings the material up-to-date for the 1990s. The information has now been re-ordered into two volumes, with new material that includes wholelife costs, energy and environmental issues as well as maintenance issues. Facilities for croquet, cycle speedway, combat sports, climbing, cricket schools, fitness rooms, health suites and clubs, sauna/solarium, sports injury clinics, drug testing facilities, leisure pools, ice hockey and leisure ice are discussed in the two volumes.
