The "in 90 minutes" series caught my eye in bookstores a few times. This is the first I've read, but won't be the last. The conciseness meets the expectation set by the title. The tone is engaging, sometimes even sarcastic, while remaining objective. Locke lived in interesting times. He was at

times on the wrong side of the shifting political and religous swings in 17th century England. Locke's ideas became fundamental concepts in the first consititutions.
