INTRODUCTION:
The aim of this guide is to help groups of Christians understand and personally apply Francis Schaeffer's teaching in Joshua and the Flow of Biblical History. The guide contains twelve studies--one for each chapter of Joshua and the Flow of Biblical History--which makes it ideally suited for Sunday school classes, home Bible studies and campus action groups.

The structure of each study is this: First, a purpose sentence states the aim. It helps participants know where they are going. Then comes the body of the study, which is always divided into three sections (except for Study 1--see below). Each of these sections moves efficiently through a portion of a chapter, asking fact and interpretation questoins (What is Schaeffer saying? What does he mean?). At the end of each section an application question prompts the group to consider how the material specifically relates to them. Finally, a suggestion for prayer concludes the study. Its purpose is to encourage and help group members talk to God about the lessons they have just learned.
Each study can take between 45 and 90 minutes.
