Thomas Robert Burt Daniel (1815-1887), son of John Daniel (b.ca.1785) and grandson of Joseph Ruben Daniel (b.ca.1760), immigrated from England to Adelaide, South Australia in 1837 on the ship "John Renwick." Two of his sisters and at least one of his brothers also immigrated (the two sisters in 1847 and 1850). Descendants lived in South Australia and elsewhere. 'The John Renwick' a three rmaster of 403 tons arrived at Nepean Bay 3rd. Feb; Holdfast Bay 10th Feb.; Port River 21st Feb. 1837. The first boat to land Passengers at the Port River, South Australia.
