Eleven members of the Mayfield family arrived in SA on the Prince Regent 26th September 1839. The first census 1841 showed that Thomas, Rebecca and seven younger members were living at Payneham. Mary Ann had married William Gardnera and was not living at home. During 1840s family living at Currency Creek.
