In 1845, 24 year-old Eliza Randall, along with her husband, two young sons, her parents, 1000 books, her piano, a groom, a gardener and two maids set sail for Adelaide. This is the diary of her voyage.

The 1845 diary of Eliza Randall has been copied from the original held in the State Lib. of SA (PRG 176/2). The illustrations have been reproduced from the Archival Heritage and Pictorial Collections of the Mortlock Library of SA.
