'South Australian Records Prior to 1841' contains records, information and a brief history about the individuals who discovered, explored and named parts of South Australia. Rating a mention are: Grant, Flinders, Sturt and Barker and others. The book begins in the year 1800, when Lieutenant James Grant was instructed to survey the coast of Australia from the south-west to Port Jackson. Also included are lists of the ships that arrived in South Australia and names of some of the early settlers to the state. A list of grantees of Adelaide Town acres and brief annual chronicles are also included.
