William Harding was born in 1820 in Wedmore, Somerset, England. His parents were John Harding and Nancy Coles. Matilda Warfield was born April 11, 1824 in Wedmore. William and Matilda were married April 11, 1848. They immigrated to Australia in 1850 and settled in Norwood, South Australia. They had eight children. Descendants and relatives lived in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere.
