without a whole lot of books on Groundhog Day, this is decent. Lots of interesting facts about groundhogs, but doesn't flow particularly well and contains, what I feel to be, unnecessary attitude and sarcasm. I already deal with enough of that coming from my 6 year old as it is without the

encouragement of storybooks.

Great factual information about the groundhog, what they eat, where they live, all that good stuff. The asides are a little distracting and I feel they can be skipped.

This story is about a groundhog who is trying to figure out what family he belongs in. This book also gives some interesting and fun facts about groundhogs throughout the story.

We liked how full of facts and interesting information this book was while presenting it all so entertainingly. The premise of "The" Groundhog wanting more air time is great.

The groundhog is not satisfied with just one day, and so declares Groundhog Appreciation Month -- and proceeds to tell all his animal friends why he deserves an entire month. This is a fun and informative book with great illustrations.
