I guess this is analogous to the "birthday" book because Caroline is 10 now? There's still allusions to the first two books which I haven't gotten to yet, but otherwise a nice, easily self-contained story that I can follow. The bravery aspect made me think of the "Saves the Day" historical books,

but from the preview the next one might be more worthy of that spot. A fishing trip turns into a chance to aid a supply ship in the first half, and in the second Caroline makes a surprising (but positive) discovery. Show Less
