This book was very different in that it was almost a book to learn how to speak in Spanish and English. The whole book is written in sentences such as, Mira is look, and libro is book. It gives readers a great insight to each language.

The teacher could have the students learn the Spanish words in the book and then have them use them in the classroom when talking to each other. This would be a type of application instead of just memorizing them.

I can relate all to well with this book right now in my life. I am taking a Beginning Spanish class and surprisingly I could actually recognize some of the words. My kids are also learning Spanish in their school and would really enjoy this book to see how much knowledge they have.
In the classroom, this book could be helpful to teach Spanish to the children. I would read the entire book in one setting and throughout the semester work page to page with the children. For instance, use the first page and read the English word to the children and then say the Spanish word to them. Have the students pronounce the word back. Then I would have them go back to their desk/table and have them write out the word and then draw a picture of the word that we have talked about for that day.

This book is all about different words in English and also Spanish. It not only has the words, but it also has the picture so the children can relate to the pictures. The book is a simple way for children to learn some words in a different language other than their own.

I found it very interesting to see this book. I thought it was an extremely good idea to have in the classroom for when a teacher has a Spanish speaking child. The class can then learn some Spanish words and the child can relate them to English words. I'd never seen a code book such as this so I found it pretty amazing.Classroom Extensions:
